I am now able to offer tuition for beginners in the art of lampwork glass bead making.

No previous experience is necessary for this one day course as there will be lots of demonstrations and hands on experience.

Lessons will be provided in my home garden studio in Leek, North Staffordshire.

Throughout the course you will gain a basic understanding of the equipment needed, studio setup, safety and also the properties of glass.

During the day you will learn how to make a basic round bead, stringer and how to decorate your bead with some basic techniques.

Any beads that you make and also any demo beads that I make will be fully annealed and forwarded on to you.

Lessons generally run between 10am until 3pm though these times are flexble to fit in with travel arrangements. 

The charge for the day is £110 for one to one tuition or I can offer a discounted price of £160 for two people so why not bring a friend.  My studio is set up with 2 torches so you will both get equal time at the torch.

The only thing you will need to bring with you is a packed lunch and also wear old and warm clothing.  No opened toed shoes and long hair to be fastened back please!

I can offer advice on local B&B and also if traveling by train I can collect you from Stoke-on-Trent station.
